Navarro 2007 Chardonnay Table Wine
We've been members of a number of wine clubs over the years - but none of them are nearly as much fun as Navarro's. Each shipment arrives with a great assortment of Navarro varietals - along with an elegantly prepared handbook describing the latest releases - and, sometimes, a surprise treat.
In this regard, no other winery or wine club comes close - Ted and Deborah just make it fun to be part of their family. It's no wonder that Navarro mostly sells out to its wine club customers!
Navarro is based in California's Anderson Valley - my idea of perhaps the prettiest valley in all of California. It's a cooler climate up there in Mendocino County - ideal for many of the varietals that are Navarro specialities (such as the Navarro 2007 Gewüztraminer).
A couple of years ago, I first wrote about Navarro and their 2004 Chardonnay Table Wine. I think that was our first experience with that wine. Since then, we've enjoyed each of their subsequent vintages - including the new Navarro 2007 Chardonnay Table Wine release that arrived a few weeks back in the fall wine club shipment. If you're looking for an everyday Chardonnay, Navarro's comes with our highest recommendation.
